The Music Ministry

"Make a joyful noise to the Lord. Serve the Lord with gladness come before His presence with singing."  Psalm 100 says, Serving and singing -- two wonderful ways to praise God!

Music is such as powerful thing! It can reach the hardest of hearts when nothing else can. Then, when we join music with the Gospel, the all-powerful Word of God, we have an explosive combination! Just as it was at the dedication of the temple, we can experience God's presence as we lift our voices in praise to Him through our Music Ministry.

Yes, at St. John's, music is ministry. Music ministers to both listeners and performers. Music proclaims the Good News of Jesus Christ as it inspires and encourages us, as it soothes the heart and as it lifts praises to our God. This is your opportunity to share your special gift of music to the BEST of your ability. You will be a blessing to many, and God will bless your efforts in return.

There is a Latin motto that states "Bis orat, qui contat": "Those who sing pray twice."
